Threshold To Maine RC&D Area, Inc.

2010 to 2015 Area Plan

The Threshold To Maine Council has a new Area Plan.  The new Area Plan is available for download and review.  Additional information about our project proposal process can be found on the Project Proposals page.  If you need other assistance, please email us.  Thank you.

The mission of the RC&D program is to make available the total resources of USDA and other public and private partnerships to build relationships, create financial leverage, and increase the ability of communities to meet their regionally identified resource conservation and development needs.

Four resource issues are covered by the Area Plan:

         Land Management

         Water Management

         Land Conservation

         Community Development

The Area Plan serves as the basic agreement between the US Department of Agriculture and the local Council in delivering the RC&D program.  It also is the mechanism that ensures the availability of technical assistance to the area.  The RC&D Council would appreciate feedback at any time on the plan or submit your project ideas to us.  Comments on the 2010-2015 Area Plan can be emailed to us at threshold@gwi.net or mailed to 1570 Main Street, Suite 10, Oxford, ME  04270-3390.

As an example of the partnerships we are involved with to implement our new Area Plan, we are a part of the Farm Energy Partners Network.  You can learn more about this network at http://www.mainerural.org/energy/
